I just watched Groupie. It just came out here in the Netherlands on DVD. The movie was directed by Mark L. Lester (also of Hitman's Run) and has leading roles for Taryn Manning and Hal Ozsan (who also wrote and performed some of the songs).
I think this movie is great fun. The story is not very original, there is not much mystery about why the leading actress Taryn Manning is doing the things she does and the finale is hardly surprising, but the movie is made very well and Eric has a very nice supporting role (not a bit part, but you can see him through the whole movie). Go watch it if you can!
