This is word for word what Mickey Rourke said about Eric in the behind the scenes DVD of the movie Angel Heart released several years ago. He was discussing his career from top to bottom and when asked about Pope he said this and this only. "'Pope of Greenwich Village' was a lot of fun because of working with Eric Roberts. Eric is (laughs) an interesting character to say the least. Eric's just a very talented actor. There's a whole bunch of guys that are movie stars today and I've said this before that can't hold Eric's god d**n jock strap. So what makes that? We're talking about politics, we are talking about luck, talking about a lot of other bullnuts that has nothing to do with acting. Eric is a tremendous actor. You've seen him in 'Runaway Train', 'Star 80' and stuff like that. Whatever happened to him where he's on the bench these days is a god d**n shame."

Thank you for posting this Ayrad.. Is there a site for Mickey Rourke.?? I would very much like to visit it. He is another guy who is turning his life around.. I think he and Eric should do another movie together. Mickey was recently on "The View" with his little dog and also on Craig Ferguson's show.. Maybe we can link the interviews somehow..Now he is nominated for an Oscar.. and he DID get a Golden Globe for "The Wrestler. We are definitely going to get this movie. My sons have always been wrestling fans and I guess me too as I used to take them to matches when they were young.. Yup I sure did..hmmm. My oldest was the real Diehard Fan... for sure... Way to go Mickey!!! GOOD THINGS GET BETTER ... LOVE THE SONG KEATON!!!!!! I'm singing it right now....., as it is playing whilst I write.... Here's a clip from the 'view" and also a clip for the Trailer of the movie "The Wrestler.." Go see it. You'll love it!!! ca.youtube.com/watch?v=rdhq6V5j6Gkca.youtube.com/watch?v=1x40_dp3ZI0&feature=relatedca.youtube.com/watch?v=61-GFxjTyV0&feature=related

I am so glad that some one finally said something about Mickey Rourke. I was so happy that he won also for the Golden Globe Awards. I watched all of it, but missed behind the scenes. Thanks for posting Ayrad, and Sunflower.
He is now known as "The Comback Kid." and has a Golden Globe to boot. Eric and Mickey should make a movie together once again. They were Great together. Ohhh how he loves his Dogs. Little ones too. I picture Mickey with a great big dog, like a pitbull, but he really loved his little dog, that I believe passed away, but he now has two more. I hope I am right about that.
I know he turned down this Movie. "Luck of the Draw." that Eric was in too, cause they wouldn't let him have his dog in the movie. I am not sure if it was the Directors, or Producers. I did see him in a movie called " Once upon a time in Mexico." Not a real big part, but he had his little dog with him in that movie. (ha)
This does prove that Mickey finally got his big chance once again. Those were real tears that he shed it that Movie. We need Eric too in a real big award winning movie. He is as good as any of them. Better then most. My Husband can't wait to see this movie either. "The Wrestler." Have a great day. Hugs Dee

HI Lorrie(Dee).. You were right ..One of Mickey's dogs did pass away .It was 18 years old . Then he did buy another one that is 17 and a half years old. He is sentimental for the older ones.. Maybe it just keeps him grounded.. You know I too will be rooting for him at the Oscars.. It would be nice for Heath ledger to get an Oscar but PERSONALLY I think he should get a 'special award : and still have the separate award for Best Actor so Mickey can get it... Now whoever does win it and it isn't Heath .. will feel guilty which shouldn't be. The best Actor award is well deserving and the one well deserving should get it.. but because Heath has passed away I just feel he still deserves an academy award for his performance as the joker in THE DARK KNIGHT but maybe it should be over and above the other one. Anyone else have thoughts about this. Robert Downey was shocked on his own nomination cause he joked he was a dude playing a bad white dude playing a bad black dude.. in TROPIC THUNDER.. I hear the movie is hilarious.. Downey can be sooo funny...

If anyone is having trouble listening to the videos etc because of Keaton's music playing in the background. Just go to the main page (sign in page) where you click on to the Board.. On the left hand side is a small photo of Keaton and the symbol ll.(pause symbol_).. ckick on to that and the music will stop. To start it again. just click on to the same spot only this time there will be an arrow there. Hope that helps...

"The Wrestler."
Dear friends! I have watched this movie. This is an excellent film about human pride and kindness. I am very very happy that Mickey for this film has received awards, because a few years he had not had more serious work in films. Mickey - is also one of my favorite actors. And I really love "'Pope of Greenwich Village".

You are so right, Sunflower. I did enjoy watching all those photos of Mickey Rourke. I looked at everyone of them the other night.
Thanks for posting them Ronnie.
Sunflower, I was so glad that you had told me in an email how to stop Keaton's music. ( Not that I don't like to hear him sing) It was I couldn't read Mickey's interview about Eric, that day, cause of Keaton's music. I was hearing stereo at the same time. That I could not make sense of. (ha)
I do listen to his music, as long as I am not trying to hear an interview. You are so helpful, and I know so many on here agree. I remember you telling me that Jenny. ( Cleo) taught you so many things. That was so nice of her, and in return, you help others as well.
That Valentine you posted for all of us was soooooo Sweet. I Loved it! Yes, I saved it too. Hugs to all, and I hope everyone has a Wonderful Valentine's Day also. Dee

HI Dee.. Now I am trying to learn another new thing on my own and it is frustrating... I do scrapbooking and I want to learn how to do the digital.. I tried something this morning but it wouldn't work. Is there anyone here that knows about Digital scapbooking. I will keep at it until I learn it.. I am still pretty "Old school" .I would be so happy if I could do a Digital layout of some of Eric's photos.. I am glad you saw Mickey Rourkes' photos Dee .I knew you would like them. I wasn't able to get the link on here myself for some reason. It might be my settings.. So Thanks again to Ronnie.
