Hi Sunflower, Ohhh that sweet June Allyson, who never gave out autographs, but she sent me a lovely one with such kind words. Of course that was about 5 years ago. Thanks to Kathryn Grayson, My sweet friend. Yes, I know that Movie you Just seen. It was "My Man Godfrey." I didn't even have to look it up. I haven't seen it for a long time. I think her most famous movie was "The Glenn Miller Story." with James Stewart." but like I told her once. "You can't run away from it." was my all time favorite with her, and Jack Lemmon. Such a cute Movie. I loved her, she was so very sweet. Kathryn called her the little sweetheart with the baritone voice. It seems that most of the MGM Stars of that time were all so close. It is so diferent now. Each was on Contract with one company, and if they made a movie for another company, it was up to MGM or who ever they worked for to loan them out. Some were allowed to, and some were not. I learned so much of this from all of my books. I have a very big collection of books on the stars, and lots of Biography books, and Autobiography. Another one of my Hobbies. I have seen all three of James Dean's Movies. Also, a play he did on Broadway. Very rare. He was one of a kind. Too bad that he died so young. Take care Hugs always your friend Dee

Hi Sunflower, I used to have June's Autobiography. I remember I loaned out three of my books to someone that I thought would return them, but she moved away, and took my books with her. I know I could buy it again on Amazon. I looked on ebay, and all I found was magazines with her on the cover. I have a few of those. The book sells for $3.99 plus shipping. I may buy it. The book that tells all, comes from her own words. Remember I told you that she fell in love with Alan Ladd while making the movie. "The Mc Donnell Story." or was that the" Mc Connell Story". I will have to go to her IMDB now. He wouldn't leave his Wife, so later she and Richard Powell. (HA) Richard! That is what she called him anyway. They did get back together, and stayed together, till he passed away from Cancer. I forget the date. I can always look it up. Hugs Dee Well, it did work with the way you spelled Richard's name.(HA)

Alright I know this movie ain't that old but I watched it when I was like 9 yrs old which was in the '70s and it was the 1st time I ever saw Richard Chamberlain. The film was called " The Slipper And The Rose ". a musical cinderella story.
A really old film that comes to mind was called " The Man in The White Suit " . I think it was made in the '40s but I forget who was in it.

Hi Yasmin I think the Movie you are referring to. "The Man in the White Suit." starred one of the Greatest Actors of all time. Alec Guinness. Wasn't it about a chemist who invents a suit, that will never wear out, or ever get dirty? Don't we wish we had some clothes like that? The year this Movie was made was. 1951 Mr. Guinness won two Oscars. You probably already know, he was born in London, England UK I was impressed with not only his Acting, but his long Marriage to a Woman, who wasn't an Actress , from 1938-----2000. ( Till his death) He died of Liver Cancer. She passed away two months after his death. I know that happens to lots of Married couples, when they have been Married so long, and one of them passes away, and they are left alone. My Parents were married for many years, and died Just 10 months apart. Alec Guinness was also in. "Star Wars." which he hated. He liked the cast, but not his part. Take care, and have a Nice Weekend Dee ( lorrie3)

Oh Yes. I remember "The Birds" Yikes It really scared me. For a long time after when the birds would collect on the fence at the school across the street I would cringe... arrghh. Gone With The Wind was a real classic. We own it on HD DVd and VHS. It came with lots of extras too.. I have watched it sooo many times too..
