I am starting another thread where our members can talk about a special talent they might have OR a hobby.. maybe even post a photos or two to share.. Ronnie post some more of your sculptures here and Dee.. I would like to post some of your"stuff"...

I do have a special hobby of scrapbooking and I love to write poetry and short stories.. I will include a little poem for you...  Spring I awoke in awe of the morning sun melting the soft blanket of snow leaving a pattern of crystal diamonds along the path to the door I felt at peace with myself as I gazed out the window seeing the newness of life become once more I am entranced by the beauty of life and know how lucky I am to be a part of it For the things we take for granted For the people we have shared our lives For the love of those we have lost I need to walk down that crystal path appreciate what the world has to offer Spring gives us a new outlook For what is yet to come A sight unseen The newness of life once more Elaine Runa Donnelly Copyright ©2008 Elaine Runa Donnelly |

Here are some of lorrie's (Dee) collections. Her collections are amazing. I have a few of them saved in a folder. but I will post just a couple for now I love Dee's Diner. Cute isn't it??   The second one is her Doughboys collection This third one is her disney collection.  |

So everyone . You must have some special talent you can share with other members.. HMM Does anyone have an Eric Roberts Collection to share ?? Com On ... Don't be shy here.. We know you all have some little talent here.. Here is one of my funny poems:
See how silly I can be...have a great summer .
Summer Vacation
Summer vacation is finally here
Dad packs the lawn chairs and the beer
Pack up the kids,the dog we can take
Goodbye to the city we're off to the lake
The dog is slobbering all over the seat
But finally we arrive tired and beat .
The tent is up after a few "choice" words
"So nice amongst the trees and the birds"
The kids are having fun."Where is Mom?"
"She has found a corner to read a good book or comb her hair
Swatting mosquitoes ,flies and ants
Changing from shorts to socks and long pants
Yes summer vacation comes and goes
All mom has are dirty clothes
Vacation is over back to work, back to school
"Why is mom smiling?" She must be a fool...

I have hobbies of course...the first of all is reading books...I love to read especially at night when I'm lying in my bed or in the garden when it's summer time, second one is movies and television...I cannot go to sleep if I haven't watch a movie or television...third one is doing gardening...I like flowers but I also have a vegetable garden...4th one, I don't know if it's really a hobby : it's my involvement in the Belgian Association against Cystic Fibrosis...I like to do that, to try to help other people...you can learn so much about sick people...

Dear Friends! Thank you so mutch for your wonderful art!   A bit later I will translate the verses into English and will place here. And yet I carry with drawing of funny cats in the program. And my husband has collection of statuettes of penguins! I will do a photo! |

That will be soo great Ronnie . We will all look forward to that..I will be away for a few days so won't get on here.. until after Tuesday probably.. Soo You people better keep this board alive okay????I want to see lots of stuff posted when I get back (haha) just kidding.. I am just excited about our weekend bus trip . It is my sisters birthday and we are having some fun time together with the girls!!!

Here is another recent short poem of mine.. Just a hobby...
Autumn Leaves
Autumn leaves gracefully falling from majestic trees
A silent reminder that summer will soon be over
Floating in a sea of color that hypnotizes me
I rake the leaves and place them in a huge pile
The smell of the cool brisk air mesmerizes me
I begin to reflect on my life in this silence
I raise my arms and fall into the mass of colors
The crackling sounds awaken my soul
How wonderful are the Autumn leaves!

Lacey. Those are adorable... I loved them all.. Tell us a little more about what they are etc.. I loved the butterfly one.. Once I figure out the site etc.. I might like to order a couple.. I hope Dee sees this. She'll love them...
