My question for Eric is: Having just seen your great performance in "Fatal Desire" where you believably portrayed a sweet man who falls hopelessly in love and having seen you play all too convincingly the bad guy in many films, why are you not a superstar? You have tremendous acting talent and matinee idol looks. It seems you were on track 20 years ago to make it really big but instead have appeared in lackluster movies, none of which have become a blockbuster. Do you need a better agent or has the timing been wrong? I certainly don't want to believe the rumor that your sister Julia has sabotaged your career by madmouthing you among the movie execs in Hollywood.
I'M VERY SURE MY SISTER HASN'T EVER SAID ANYTHING NEGATIVE. I THINK PLAYING SO MANY SINISTER CHARACTERS HAS GOTTEN IN THE WAY. FILM EXECUTIVES ARE USUALLY COMPLETELY OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE FEELINGS OF THE PEOPLE IN THE AUDIENCE WHO ENJOY OUR WORK. THAT'S WHY SO MANY UNPOPULAR SHOWS ARE PUT OUT THERE, AND SO MANY GOOD ONES ARE PULLED. THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU SAID.

Hi Eric,
I've enjoyed watching your work for many years, ever since the 80s. I think my favorite film of yours was Raggedy Man. Tthe nuances of your portrayal of Teddy were wonderful - nothing about that film looked like "acting."
THANK YOU. IT FELT VERY NATURAL TO ME, PARTLY DUE TO SISSY AND JACK.
More recently, I was thrilled to see your work in "La Cucaracha", which was such a great little film.
You took a role which could have been creepy or overblown, and gave a really subtle tragi-comic performance. Thanks for that!
AGAIN, THE DIRECTOR, JACK PEREZ.
SO GLAD YOU "GOT" THE MANY MOMENTS IN LA CUCARACHA.
My question is, do you plan on doing any more indie films? I know quirky/interesting doesn't exactly pay the bills, but selfishly, as a fan, it's great to see you do what you do best.
I WOULD LOVE TO. ONLY ONE OF EVERY HUNDRED INDEPENDENT FILMS TURNS OUT GREAT, AND SO MANY OF THEM DON'T GET SEEN. AND I'M TRYING TO GET MORE OF THOSE ROLES TO COME MY WAY.
I just have this feeling that one of these days, you'll find a big role in a "small" film that will get you a lot of notice again.
THANK YOU. MY HOPES EXACTLY!
Thanks for working so hard all these years!
YOU'RE VERY WELCOME.
THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT NOTE.
