Dear Eric:
I read in a biography of you that you had a near-fatal car accident (that comatized you for 3 days & caused multiple broken bones) in 1981, when you were around 25 years of age......
My Q is: Do you ever think about that day, or do you remember it each year when that date comes up in your life?
GOOD QUESTION. I DEFINITELY THINK ABOUT IT ON THE ANNIVERSARY DAY OF THE ACCIDENT.
AND THERE ARE MANY OTHER TIMES I THINK OF IT AS WELL.
Another Q is: Do you ever talk about it with friends/family?
I DO ACTUALLY. AND MANY THINGS I DON'T.
Another Q is: Do you have any lingering health problems due to the accident (recurring headaches, etc.)?
NOT HEADACHES...BUT I HAVE A DAMAGED FINGER. THAT'S WHY I HAVE TO WEAR ANY WEDDING RINGS IN LIFE OR MOVIES ON MY RIGHT HAND.
I HAVE A SLIGHT LIMP DUE TO THE ACCIDENT.
I DO SUGGEST PEOPLE SEE THE HARRISON FORD FILM, "REGARDING HENRY".
IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND SOME LONG TERM EFFECTS TO AN ACCIDENT LIKE THIS
THAT THE DOCTORS DON'T NECESSARILY TALK TO YOU ABOUTOR MAYBE THE ACCIDENT ITSELF MAKES YOU FORGET WHAT THE DOCTORS DO TALK TO YOU ABOUT!
I also hope you are doing well...I am the gal from Chicago...It keeps raining too much this summer, and it is hot and humid already in late May! See you soon- bye!
WE LOVE CHICAGO. SEE THE MOVIE, "THE LAKE HOUSE" FOR A REAL DOSE OF THE BEAUTY OF CHICAGO.
MY STEPSON, KEATON SIMONS, IS DATING A GIRL FROM CHICAGO. HER NAME IS BETHANY DWYER.

Dear Eric and Eliza,
First of all thanks again for taking the time to read and answer our questions. Mine this time is how it feels like being, let's say, having a coffee and meet a fan who wants a pic taken with you. We all have bad days, so how do you manage it to always smile and make them happy? Same thing with autographs. I can't imagine how it feels like because I'm always the one who asks for them
BEING APPROACHED BY PEOPLE FEELS A LITTLE BIT LIKE YOU'RE LIVING AT A PARTY WHERE YOU DON'T KNOW ANYONE. THEN ADD TO THAT THEY THEY "KNOW" YOU, AND YOU END UP FEELING PRETTY SHY. STILL, IT'S GREAT TO MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY, AND TO REALIZE THAT THIS MAY BE THE ONLY TIME YOU MEET THIS PERSON.
Another one is I'd like to know who you inheritated this gorgeous blue eyes you have from.
THANK YOU. I THINK I HAVE MY MOM'S EYES.
And last but no least... as I'll never have the chance to meet you, could you please send me your autograph? I mean dedicated, like: "To Anna, with all my love forever and ever in your heart. Eric". OK, OK, I had to give it a try LOL... my cell number??? OK!!! I better go!
I'LL SEND YOU THAT AUTOGRAPH. WHERE DOES IT GO?
Love you!
