THREAD STARTED ON 03/24/2006
Eunice:
Dear Eric:
I am a 30-year-old female movie fan from suburban Chicago, Illinois, who thinks you have a very charismatic presence and is very very stunningly good-looking.
~ I sure love Chicago. Keaton's girlfriend, Bethany Dwyer, is from Chicago. Great city.
I have read a lot about you and still have a lot of questions about you? I would appreciate it if you could answer some or all of my Q's?
Q1: What Martial Arts did you study? (Taekwondo/ Karate/Other) How many years? What Color Belt are you?
~ I really only trained with Simon Rhee for the BEST OF THE BEST movies.
Simon and Phillip Rhee are the real thing. They made me look like I was too.
Q2: Can you do a British accent since you studied in England?
~ I love doing a British accent. I'm OK at it.
What do you think about the British Harry Potter books? (I must be the only person I know who doesn't like Harry Potter.)
~ I'm not all that into them either.
What is your favorite European country?
~ Oh, so many. I love the UK, France, Italy...Hard question to answer!
Do you think America is overly obsessed with British culture currently?
~ I think America is understandably interested in British culture, cause it's interesting!
Do you think British people are snobby?
~ Not at all.
Q3: Can you still do a Southern accent since you grew up in the South?
~ I can barely NOT do a Southern accent. I'm in Memphis now, and my accent comes out every day.
Also how do you feel about the New Orleans hurricane-flood tragedy?
~ I feel George Bush failed those people criminally.
My heart breaks and I melt into tears when I think about the people of New Orleans.
Our family did much to help, but it wasn't nearly enough.
The suffering was preventable. And one man and his administration chose to let the pain continue.
Q3: What were some favorite Music Bands of yours when you were a teenager/young adult? Who do you like more: Beatles/Rolling Stones? Can you play any instruments (guitar, drums, etc.) or sing well?
~I can carry a tune.
See IN COLD BLOOD with Anthony Edwards and me. You can get it on Amazon.com.
I play a little piano and guitar and horn, but really little.
I like the Stones and the Beatles differently. Can't say more or less. They both have some songs that are in the top songs of all time.
Q4: What are some of your all-time favorite Music Bands/Albums/CD's (that don't star any family members)? What are some of your all-time favorite Movies (that don't star yourself or any family member)?
~ Kudu
Traffic
Q5: Do you have any Heros (living/dead, actor/non-actor, male/female, etc.) and why do you admire them?
~ Jeff Bridges, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Noel Chomsky, Al Franken, Michael Moore, Larry David, Paul Rudd, the directors of ELECTION, A DOOR IN THE FLOOR or THE DOOR IN THE FLOOR. These are what I call doubtless talents.
Q6: Why did you go to England to study Drama? Why not just go to NYC or California (because of Hollywood, etc.)?
~ I went to England only for a summer program because acting there is like a job you have to be good at. It's not all about celebrity. I also studied in New York quite exensively.
Do you currently consider yourself a Believer/Follower of any Religion??? Are there any Religions that you like more than others? (Celebrities seem to be more interested in the New-Age religions/cults like Kabbalah- Madonnah, Demi Moore, Britney Spears, Roseanne Barr, Ashton Kuscher & Scientology- John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, Tom Cruise, etc.) Also, what are your feelings about Kabbalah and Scientology? I read this horrible article in "Glamour" magazine about a young female adult who grew up in a Scientology family and was subjected to sexual abuse and/or rape as a young girl!!! She escaped the Scientologists, but it is still so tragic what these Scientology people believe and do!!!
I would really love to know your religious background as well as your current beliefs!!! Thanks so much, Eunice from Chicago.
~ Eunice, I believe in Nature and Science, but not in any particular religion at all.
I think there is value to Buddhism and some other religions, but I don't believe in anything based on fear, discrimination, violence, fighting or being harsh with children.
